Mitt Romney showed the size of his largess when after losing the election he cut off funding to the credit cards for thousands of his staffers, leaving some stranded and without a revenue source.

Many campaign workers found themselves in restaurants, or cabs with an anxious vendor waiting to be paid and the staffer's credit cards declined. Mitt Romney left them holding the bag, and he was no longer willing to foot the bill. Some workers found themselves stranded in strange cities across the nation, hundreds or thousands of miles from home, without a penny in their pocket and no plan of action to take next.

This entire scenario is a window into the type of man Mitt Romney is at his core. When there is nothing to lose, and the cameras are not rolling, he is a ruthless individual.

Some member of the Romney staff took it in stride. MSNBC.com reported one staffer who, when asked about the credit cards being cut off, shrugged and said: "Fiscally conservative."

As is often the case, the perspective of the situation depends on how one looks at the situation.

Gay Penguins Become Dads

After nearly a year together at the Odense Zoo in Denmark, the same-sex couple attempted to become parents of their own. Keepers witnessed the pair trying to steal other couples' eggs. And during brooding season, the penguins even tried to incubate a dead herring.

"[The two] seriously wanted to stay with an egg," zoologist Nina Christensen told The Star.

The Odense Zoo reports that the penguins were recipients of an unexpected blessing when a female penguin laid not one but two eggs. She ultimately ditched the second egg, which afforded the male couple to become adoptive parents.

However, before they were given the egg, the males had to practice on artificial eggs. Once proven capable, they received and successfully incubated the egg. The chick was born a month ago but the sex won't be determined for another eight months.

Congrats to the new dads!

Five Freaky Facts About "The Exorcist"

1. The film is considered cursed. Ellen Burstyn was permanently injured during filming, stars Jack MacGowran and Vasiliki Maliaros both died before the movie was even released and a fire destroyed most of the set. A film-goer seeing the movie also broke his jaw after fainting ... and sued Warner Bros., claiming the flick made him pass out.

2. While everyone knows Regan's vomit is made from pea soup, did you know it's specifically Andersen's brand? The filmmakers reportedly tried using Campbell's but didn't like how it looked.

3. The flick was the first horror movie to be nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award. It lost to"The Sting," but won Best Adapted Screenplay.

4. Linda Blair had to be followed around by bodyguards for six months after the movie landed in theaters, due to death threats from religious extremists.

5. Though Linda played Regan, her demonic voice was actually provided by someone else: Radio actress Mercedes McCambridge. Mercedes was initially left out of the film's credits and had to sue Warner Bros. in order to get recognition.
