Thanks to the Post:
"Lindsay Lohan's sobriety is a bit like having the hiccups -- just when things are looking good one sneaks up and you're starting from zero all over again. And while I wouldn't want to improperly assume LiLo is drunk in these new pictures from last night, I am very dubious of anyone who would press their face to a NYC street.""I mean, even hobos sleep on cardboard boxes in an attempt to keep their skin street-free. But there Lindsay is, down on her knees, face pressed to the ground as her friends look on and laugh."

In case you didn't know, King Ralphy is currently breaking into the music biz; and I'm elated to share with you the world premiere of his debut single "Over to the Speaker" produced by the infamous Bryan Galvan!
The song debuted last week on "Pump It Up Radio" in NYC. A demo of King Ralphy's next single, "Bump", has also leaked online; but the song is still in production.
About King Ralphy: Although he is most known for his hit parties in New York City and Miami, it is King Ralphy's love for music that further his already impressive career. His first single, "Over to the Speaker" produced by Bryan Galvan debuted in March on "Pump It Up Radio" and soon you'll be jamming in your favorite club to "Over to the Speaker." If you're in New York, check him out on Saturday nights at Manhattan's hottest party "Club 57".
He has quite the impressive resume, previously having hosted Fashion Week events with Countess LuAnn Deleseeps & Alex McCord of The Real Housewives of NYC, Jason Preston, VH1 reality star 12 Pack, Rapper Foxy Brown, Porn Star Brent Everett, Paper Magazine Editor Mickey Boardman and Amanda Lepore. Ralphy also has a history hosting smaller venues like Splash Bar with Fashion Designer's Richie Rich & Malan Breton while still promoting bigger circuit style events such as Pacha New York, (with regular DJ's Boris, Victor Calderone and Jonathan Peters), the infamous WORK! party with Grammy winning DJ and party producer, Peter Rauhofer, Just Circuit Magazines' Destination: PRIDE events featuring DJ Tony Moran with co-host Anthony Lamont, the Xtatic party with legendary DJ Junior Vasquez and Matinee with DJ Hector Fonseca.

Keep It Movin' Presents: The Pool Party/Miami Edition | At the Catalina Hotel
The move to Miami Music Week 2011 has officially begun! On Wednesday, March 23, there's no question that dance music fans from all around the world will be uniting in the heart of Miami Beach for New York based Promoter Intact Music's event; Keep It Movin' Presents: The Pool Party/Miami Edition, being held at the esteemed Catalina Hotel on 1756 Collins Ave. The event will feature hand-picked international superstar acts, along with upcoming New York City acts creating an event that showcases talented musicians as well exposing fans to each artist's love and passion to dance music. We can pretty much say this is going to be the highlight opening pool party event, offering the perfect mix of the best talent in electronic music and upcoming names. Expect to experience pure dancing, sunshine, beach bodies and sexy sweat.
Opening up the festivities will be upcoming DJ Brian Best, based out of New York, and a vital part of the Keep It Movin' Party held bi-weekly in New York City at Porch NYC. Next up is Danielle Nicole, a rising female DJ/Producer from New York City, who has multiple releases out on Frequenza Records as well Minitech Series. Her latest EP Dream Freak on Frequenza reached as high as number 15 on Beatport's top 100 minimal charts. She is definitely a name to look out for. After her is Mike Terra, from the Lost Borough Crew, who is a resident and co- creator of the wildly successful Keep It Movin' Party. He has DJed at some of New York City's most legendary clubs such as Cielo, Pacha NYC, Bar 13, Crobar, as well as Parkwest in Miami and Guvernment & Comfort Zone, earning rave reviews throughout Toronto. Next up is the duo of Dave Turk & Pasquale, from Intact Music, who are residents and co-creators of the Keep It Movin' Party. Together they give the perfect mix of sexy sounds, groovy tunes and hard beats that takes you on a magical ride. Some of the renowned clubs they have played at include Nocturnal (during WMC 2010), Pacha NYC, Crobar, Love, Sullivan Room, Bar 13 & Public Assembly (Bunker) just to name a few. Both Dave and Pasquale are working on productions they plan on releasing sometime in 2011.
Headlining the event, first up is German Superstar Den Ishu, who has multiple releases on the famed and well respected label Desolat headed by superstar Loco Dice as well as prominent label Area Remote headed by the legendary 2000 and One. Den Ishu's EP "Uganda Express", a collaboration with Arado, released on Desolat, garnered huge international success. It was supported by dance music giants such as Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Marco Carola, 2000 and one, Tiefschwarz and reached countless top 10 sales and DJ charts. With a slew of top hits such as "R.U.W.M" & "Preacher Man", Den Ishu has firmly established him as one of the new and fresh artists to keep an eye on. He couldn't have started the year off any better and 2011 is set to be a big year for him.
Following Den Ishu is Cadenza Vagabundo Superstar Michel Cleis. In the space of two short years Michel Cleis has vaulted from being an unknown producer with a handful of vinyl to his credit to one of the hottest artists in electronic music thanks to a tune called "La Mezcula". Signed by Cadenza Boss Luciano, "La Mezcla" was one of the top EPs of the year, was wildly successful during WMC and played by everyone from Luciano to Ricardo Villalobos to Loco Dice. As part of the infamous Cadenza Vagabundos Party, 2011 has started off very well and will continue to see huge success for Michel Cleis.
Closing out the night is fellow Cadenza Vagabundo Superstar, Robert Dietz. Over the past few years Robert has built up an impressive CV including work with the likes of Loco Dice, Karotte, llario Alicante, Davide Squillace and fellow Frankfurt rising star Reboot. His tracks have found their way into compilations for Cocoon, Cecille, Circo Loco and Timewarp, among others which has shown the world evidence of the high regards other DJs have for Robert's work. With a hectic touring schedule at places like Miami, New York, Ibiza, Italy, Germany, Australia and many more, Robert has firmly established himself as one of the most sought out artists in electronic music.
***JUST RELEASED** Special Guest, Westboy has just been added to the lineup. With Releases out on well respected labels, Suara, Noir Music and hot new label Inmotion Music, Westboy has established himself as being one of the young, fresh top Producer/DJs in dance/electronic music. With a number of huge international DJs such as Loco Dice, Lauhaus and Nic Fanciulli, just name a few, dropping his tracks, Westboy has earned the respect of his peers. Bryan Galvan Mentions Ralphy's Music in New Progressive Pulse Interview!

THE KING RALPHY DIARIES. THE REAL KING RALPHY

2:00 PM
Bryan is the consummate DJ’s DJ — he works tirelessly to perfect his craft both behind the decks and in the studio. I’m so glad to have had the pleasure of working with him and proud to call him a friend “ -DJ De Leon
Progressive Pulse has had the pleasure of featuring DJ Bryan Galvan’s slammin’ house mixes and original tracks and mixes but, we thought we’d dig a little deeper into his background, inspiration and new projects...
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: You’ve produced several original tracks, what’s the process of creating an original dance song? Collaboration??
GALVAN: My original tracks have always been from an idea that I feel is part of the current time and is relevant to what’s going on today in the world. I worked with Jonathan Trattner for years and that collaboration really got me going as a producer. He was a well known producer at the time when we started, so learning from him and giving him my experience from a djs stand point really worked well for us. I just did a collaboration with King Ralphy, a popular nightlife personality from New York City. He just came into my studio with some vocal ideas, I hit record and let him jam out on some tracks I had already done. A couple of hours later “Over 2 the speaker” was born. We’re currently putting the release package together with remixes and performances so we’re very excited to see where it’ll go this spring.
peep the rest here:
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: Tell us about your background…
GALVAN: I grew up listening to a lot of disco from my parents record collection and also Latin music, specifically Colombian music.. then I got into freestyle in my teens then hip/house and then I discovered house music in the 90s. My first club I went to was the Palladium where Junior Vasquez was a resident dj. I didn’t know what was going on really, I was only 16 and allowed in because of my MTV dancer friends at the time. But mainly the original house music djs have paved the way for me like Danny Tenaglia, Louie Vega, David Morales, Lenny Fontana, Hex Hector, and also Frankie Knuckles. It’s a dream come true to know that I’m in contact with these heavy hitters, and I am often the opening dj for their gigs.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: House Music encompasses so many various styles….how has your sound as a dj changed throughout the years and what is it today?
GALVAN: I feel the foundation for me has always been music with soul and rhythm, whether its house, techno, or progressive, it needs to make me want to dance. It’s amazing how much dance music is out there that doesn’t make me want to dance.. lol crazy, right?? But at the end of the day, house music is always where I end up.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: People can hear your shows at 1mix Radio and download your mixes on iTunes…tell us more about each episode.
GALVAN: The mix shows started as a weekly radio show on XM in 2002, then in 2004 podcasts came onto the scene and I starting catering to that outlet. But when XM and Sirius merged in 2008 they did away with “The Move” which is the channel we were on, and then I was lucky enough for 1mix radio in London to pick up the show. Now a radio station in Ireland syndicates my mix show as well. You can listen to my shows on iTunes for free.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: What’s your favorite part about being a producer?
GALVAN: It has to be making something from nothing. I’m big on before and afters, and it doesn’t get more realized for me than producing my own original track with my own original ideas. Seeing thousands of people go crazy in a club…well that’s when it really pays off.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: What’s involved in the remix process?
GALVAN: Every remix is different in the sense that a label might be very specific with the sound they want but, then there’s the other side where they say “do your thang” and you have total freedom. My first official remix was for 8ball records for Victor Calderones’ “Beat me harder” track – Trattner and I worked the hell out of that remix, Victor ended up picking ours for the vinyl release. But now it’s a lot different, with remix contests and a lot of djs getting different parts to songs, it’s a bit less exclusive these days unfortunately.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: What do you have brewing for 2011?
GALVAN: Definitely more EP’s, I’ve done one offs the past couple of years but now I’m more into the package idea of 2 or 3 different tracks but, all coinciding together. I’m hoping things work out and I get back on Xm/Sirius weekly, I get a lot of fan mail regarding the show and hope all of my U.S fans get to hear me weekly like in the past. I’ll also be traveling overseas this summer, Barcelona and Ibiza are big targets for me gig wise, from headlining to opening up for headliners. Then of course the U.S and South American gigs will keep me busy.
PROGRESSIVE PULSE: Will you be attending the upcoming WMC (Winter Music Conference) in Miami? What goes on at this annual music conference??
GALVAN: This year it seems there’s two weeks of events in Miami, first and last week of March. After 13 years of attending WMC, I know that a dj is not confirmed unless he hits play on his first song during this conference. I don’t want to promote any parties as of yet knowing anything can happen up until the day of the party. But yes I’ll be a fan too, going to parties and listening to djs I have profound respect for.
