The evening's festivities will begin with a cocktail “hour” at 5:30pm and will be co-hosted by Appolonia Cruz and Lady Clover Honey. Four DJs (DJ Steve Sidewalk, DJ TK, DJ BennyK, and Sir Ari Gold) will take turns spinning on two dance floors. Miss Muscles will manage the door, Rob Ordonez will serve as the event's official photographer, and passed hors d'oeuvres and other finger foods will be provided throughout the evening.

Early revelers will enjoy a 6pm Cocktail Hour Performance by Appolonia Cruz, Lady Clover Honey, Lovari, Yuhua Hamasaki, Pvaz, L'Tifah Tigerss, Jay Edwards (Mr. Stonewall Cub), Spicky Hilton, Tym Moss, Andrea Alton (as Molly “Equality” Dykeman), and Diva Jackie Dupree. All of the entertainers will perform during the 8pm Main Event / Bachelor(ette) Auction.

VIP ticket holders will have access to an open bar throughout the event, as well as a VIP-only balcony lounge where they will have a chance to mingle with all of the entertainers and bachelor(ette)s. Additionally, VIP ticket holders will be entertained an intimate 7pm Vip-Only Performance Hour by Lovari, Tym Moss, Sissy Van Dyke, Appolonia Cruz, Spicky Hilton, Lady Clover Honey, and Andrea Alton.
As part of the evening's festivities, prominent members of the LGBTQ community have stepped forward to help the Center with its gala by agreeing to be auctioned off for a dinner “date” with the winners: JC Alvarez, Richard Annington, Adam Barta, Jenna Fox, Jason Hellinger, Yetta Kurland, Esq., María Lapachet, Stevie NYC, Cory Oden, Sue Senna, Chris Ryan, DJ Steve Sidewalk, TAYLOR, Michael J.D. Warner, Scott Wooledge, and all 15 of the entertainers who will be performing throughout the evening.
The Valentine's Vamp will feature over four hours of performances by 15 entertainers: Appolonia Cruz, Tym Moss, Jiggly Caliente, Athena Reich, Sissy Van Dyke, Lovari, Lady Clover Honey, PVaz, Laritza Dumont, Yuhua Hamasaki, Spicky Hilton, L'Tifah Tigerss, Jay Edwards (Mr. Stonewall Cub), Andrea Alton (as Molly "Equality" Dykeman), and Diva Jackie Dupree.

Andrej Pejic in a onesie? Androgynous model hits catwalk in his PJs (but finally gets to wear men's clothes at Jean Paul Gaultier)

He's strutted his stuff on the catwalk wearing everything from wedding dresses to transparent T-shirts and now Andrej Pejic can add onesies to the list.

The androgynous Bosnian-Australian model sported a clinging onesie on the catwalk during Jean Paul Gaultier's show at Paris Menswear last night.

Although Pejic is famous for being the world's only male model to specialise in womenswear, that hasn't stopped him from taking part in the continuing round of menswear shows.

Multi-talented: Although Pejic usually focuses on womenswear, here he proves he can turn his hand to both

Wearing masculine suits, trousers and shirts - as well as that onesie -  the model has already appeared on the runway at Jean Paul Gaultier and Yohji Yamamoto, with three more days of Paris Menswear left to go.

 

Barefaced and with his long, blond hair slicked back, the model looked far more manly than usual.

He even sported a super-sized moustache during the Yohji Yamamoto show, which left him almost unrecognisable.

Despite his foray into menswear, Pejic remains a favourite of womenswear designers, having starred in multiple campaigns, including for Marc Jacobs womenswear.

It was recently revealed that the model's envy-inducing bone structure was inherited from his mother, whose photograph he posted on his Twitter account last week. 

The 1970s image showed a blonde, slender woman with the same fine features as her son.

Thanks goodness for excellent genes.

Million Dollar Decorator bosses to make Lindsay Lohan pay $250k tax on luxury furniture after she refused to film big reveal

 Lindsay Lohan while have to pay tax on the $250,000 worth of furniture she was given as a present.

The troubled actress - who was recently given a bill from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) $233,000 for unpaid taxes between 2009 and 2010 - received the expensive furniture from producers of Bravo reality TV show Million Dollar Decorator.

But because she refused to take part in the programme's big reveal, she is going to be taxed on it.

A source told website RadarOnline: 'Producers had planned on paying the luxury gift tax on the furniture that was given to Lindsay for her Beverly Hills rental house.

'Lindsay was given $250,000 of beautiful furniture, but when she failed to agree to appear on 'Million Dollar Decorator' for the big reveal of the work that was done on her rental house, the producers decided they weren't going to pay the taxes.

 

Luxurious amenities: Lindsay's rented 2,500-square-foot mini-mansion in Beverly Hills features a pool and a spa, but she is now said to have moved out 

'Lindsay will probably have to pay between $25,000 and $50,000 in taxes on the furniture.'

Bravo bosses initially wanted to repossess the furniture and flooring that was given to the Mean Girls star after she refused to finish filming but couldn't get it back from her.

The source continued: 'Lindsay didn't appreciate anything that was done for her. She was given $250,000 in furniture. 

'Bravo attempted to get the furniture back, but Lindsay was one step ahead of them and had everything from the house sent to an unknown storage location.

'Lindsay was quite pleased with herself and bragged to friends that she can get whatever she wants because she is a celebrity.'

Interior decorator Kathyrn Ireland recently revealed that Lindsay initially became involved in the show after they met at a dinner and became friends. 

'She came up to me and said what a huge fan she was and said I was her favourite on the show,' she told The Hollywood Reporter.  'She told me she was getting a house and would love for me to look at it. I told her we were shooting a season right now, and they said Lindsay would be more than happy to be on the show.'

But after the goods were delivered and decorating completed, Lindsay 'went AWOL.'

Bravo diplomatically said Lindsay 'was not available for the reveal shoot, but we were still able to capture the outcome, just like we do for many of the reveal episodes.'

However Kathryn told The Hollywood Reporter that Lindsay couldn't film the big reveal after being involved in a car accident 

'Of course it's disappointing, but it wasn't like she didn't show,' said the interior decorator. 'She had an accident. You've probably seen what the car looked like. It was really cute when she did finally come see it that weekend.

And cut! Lindsay wasn't happy when she was spotted inside the furniture shop by the paparazzi during the episode which aired on Tuesday

Just another day in Utah! Shopper wears his assault rifle to J.C. Penney to protect against 'criminals, cartels, drug lords, and evil men'

Hours after President Barack Obama called on Congress to ban assault weapons, one man's protest raised some eyebrows at a Utah store.

An Ogden woman snapped a few photos of a man standing inside a J.C. Penney on Wednesday with a big gun slung over his shoulder.

Cindy Yorgason said that even for a firearm-friendly state like Utah, it was out of the ordinary.

'I've seen someone carrying on their hip or leg, but I have never seen anyone openly carrying an assault rifle,' she said.

Yorgason took two photos of the man and posted them on Facebook, where they received hundreds of comments and have since been shared more than a thousand times.

She said she's 'incredibly amazed' at the attention the images received.

She wasn't alarmed when she spotted him with the weapon but Yorgason thinks the man took it too far while trying to make a statement.

'I just think it's inappropriate,' she said.

The man, identified as Joseph Kelley, 22, told The Salt Lake Tribune he wanted to demonstrate that the weapons aren't dangerous when handled by law-abiding citizens.

Kelley said he's a former member of the military and alerted police in advance that he would be carrying the weapon, which he identified as an unloaded AR-15.

Protector: Kelley carries his guns to protect children and other evil men from a variety of 'evil men' like 'cartels, drug lords, and criminals.'

Kelley was also carrying a Glock 19c on his hip.

He said he received positive reactions from people who spotted him.

'I felt no negative vibes from anyone,' Kelley told the Tribune. 'I think it went rather surprisingly well.'

He said he carries guns to protect children and others from 'criminals, cartels, drug lords' and other 'evil men.'

Attempts by The Associated Press to reach Kelley were unsuccessful.

Local law enforcement authorities said they didn't receive any calls related to the incident or any notice from Kelley, Riverdale City Police Lieutenant James Ebert said.

But if the gun is unloaded, 'then you're well within your rights to carry a firearm,' Ebert said.

L. Ron Hubbard's Great-grandson slams Scientology as 'dangerous cult'

Jamie DeWolf, the great-grandson of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, has come out with new explosive claims against the church and its controversial founder.

And it's not pretty.

'My family sees Scientology as absolute poison,' says Jamie DeWolf. 'It’s a dangerous cult.'

DeWolf’s great-grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard, created Scientology, and his grandfather, L. Ron Hubbard Jr., was a high-ranking member for most of his life.

'But he became disgusted about what he was seeing behind the curtain, so he left,' DeWolf tells the New York Post. 'For the rest of his life, he was hunted. And he couldn’t even have a relationship with his father.'

DeWolf says the Scientology founder 'became more and more unhinged in his last days. He was lost in his own little wonderland, surrounded by this armada, this dark security force. He was totally lost.'

When DeWolf was 8, he found a picture of his great-grandfather in a book about cults.

'Then I started to ask questions,' he said. 'Then I started to learn about this darker legacy.'

He claims that the church is dangerous cult.

 

Mr DeWolf said that he never met his great-grandfather and had never been a member of the church 

DeWolf, who was raised Baptist Christian, was warned about publicly admitting his connection to the group.

'My uncle said it was like poking a sleeping dog,' DeWolf said. 'The Scientologists didn’t know who I was or where I was, so why should I take the risk? My family was very wary.'

When he finally did come forward to share his story, DeWolf claims the Scientologists hunted him down.

'I had private investigators following me,' he said. 'It’s possible my phone line had been tapped. They fight nasty. Part of it actually is a certain malicious glee in going after their targets.'

He said it was definitely the cause for the split between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

'The more [Katie] saw behind the curtain,” he’s said, “the more horrified that she probably was.'

DeWolf said he has met people over the years that have shared similar stories with him.

'I’ve met people who’ve had 20 years of their lives utterly destroyed by this cult,' he said. 'They have relatives they can’t speak to any more, lost their kids, lost their house. It’s become very serious to me.

For me to even speak out on my own genetic legacy and to be aware that I could absolutely threatened and hunted for that, that really emboldened me. I’m not gonna die with these secrets and they should be exposed.

So You Wanna Be A DJ?

You think you've got what it takes to be the next Sasha, Tiesto, Deep Dish or maybe Me, DJ Rap? Only problem is, you don't know where to begin. You've come to the right blog.

For those of you who know me, I always have plenty to say. For those of you who don't you'll probably be sick of me soon, so I'll talk about something interesting rather than the boring blog shit you see all over the place. The idea came to me because I've started teaching this very thing at Hollywood Arts.[hollywood-arts.org] I was first told about this organization by my mate, BT. It's wonderful helping out the new blood and seeing how they light up when they scratch the decks.

"So you wanna be a DJ?" will be the beginning of a series of blogs explaining the basic beginning to becoming a DJ, learning to produce, and hopefully help guide you on your path to becoming an underground superstar. [who really wants to be famous, it sucks. this is way cooler] Let's start off by talking about equipment so you'll know what to use before we get into techniques.

Part 1: DJ Equipment.

There are many types of equipment, so it really is a matter of personal taste. What I talk about here is just what I happen to believe in and this stuff works for me. It is by no means a disrespect to the other brands and versions out there. [so if anyone else wants to sponsor me, feel free, haha!]

Decks: Although I still own the one and only pair of turntables I've ever bought, SL-1200's the Pioneer CDJ-1000 or DVJ-1000 is my weapon of choice. I simply LOVE Pioneer. [yes I love vinyl, no I haven't abandoned it. but you try carrying 20 20lb. crates to Ibiza only to find the crates nicked when you get there!] So CD's are what I spin.

Mixer: Now, I'm really fussy about this shit. It HAS to be a Pioneer-800 for me. I don't care what anyone else says, it's the best. For me the effects, are stellar. The Pioneer-600 sounded a little too woody and muffled, if you like, often there were feedback problems. But the 800 is crystal clear. I love the fact that you can mix and blend effortlessly without too much tuning concerns due to the filter effect. As I travel with a VJ, if you ever get the chance, check out Pioneer's new SVM-1000.[pioneerdj.com] I went to the warehouse and they let me at it, needless to say I got a little excited and wet my pants. I feel visuals are very important to a DJ show, but let's take it one step at a time… we'll get into that a bit later.

Monitors: In my home studio I use the M-Audio BX5's and the 10-inch sub that goes with it.[m-audio.com] I find they are incredibly accurate and really translate well to the dancefloor. I also use a pair of NS-10's which help me with what I call the "car radio mix test." In other words, if it sounds good in my car, it sounds good anywhere. For my mains, when I'm writing and producing I just got a hold of a pair of VXT-8's which have a MASSIVE sound. [krksys.com]

Headphones: I only ever use Sony-MDRV700DJ's. They're solid. And I haven't gone deaf yet. [sonystyle.com]

Of course you don't need these items exactly to start with as I realize we're all on our own budgets, however, you'll only need it once and you get what you pay for. In the long run you'll pay more to replace things if you're buying shit equipment. Trust me, been there, done that.

The Eerie Lunar landscape caused by Hurricane Sandy on the Shores of New York City

Looking like pyramids, these giant polished piles of sand are graphic examples of the sheer scale of the power of Hurricane Sandy.

Made up of all the sand collected from the devastated streets of The Rockaways, Queens, the 18 dunes stand on the parking lot of Jacob Riis Park - causing it to resemble an eerie lunar landscape.

Etched by the wind and the rain, the 30-foot tall dunes were photographed just two days ago, standing by the ocean front that took such a battering during the October 2012 storm.

The storm battered the little peninsula of Rockaway that juts between the Atlantic Ocean and Jamaica Bay.
The entire area, which has 130,000 residents, was in the city’s mandatory evacuation zone, but hundreds decided to stay and weather the storm. 

Flood-waters made the community inaccessible for fire crews for many hours during the aftermath of the October 29th storm.
Firefighters said 25 people were stuck in one burning building and had to be rescued by boat because the water was chest deep.

The dunes were created by piling up sand that had been blown off the beach from Hurricane Sandy in October 2012

Firefighter Michael Parrella told the New York Times that the area was ‘probably the most flooded part of the city.’
Some residents of the Rockaways in Queens still continue to struggle without power, heat or food as their neighborhood slowly recovers from the devastating storm.
In the days after Sandy hit and with little police presence on the storm-ravaged streets, many residents of the peninsula were forced to take their protection into their own hands, arming themselves with guns, baseball bats and even bows and arrows to ward off thugs seeking to loot their homes.
Across the whole of New York about 60 million people were left without power in 8.2 million homes and businesses and the storm killed 131 across the country.
