Imprisoned club kid-turned-murderer Michael Alig could be released as soon as this month, he’s been telling friends on the outside.
“I go to my next hearing in a week . . . wish me luck,” Alig wrote in a holiday card to a pal last month. “If they release me I’d be home in January! I get a response in about 20 days . . . can’t wait to see everyone again,” he added.
Alig, who was played by Macaulay Culkin in the 2003 film “Party Monster,” is serving 10 to 20 years for murdering drug dealer Andre “Angel” Melendez in 1996.
We hear that Steve Lewis — who ran legendary New York nightclubs Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel, Life and Plaid, among others — has been visiting Alig in jail and could even produce a potential Alig reality show when he’s free.
Lewis didn’t return calls for comment by deadline.

Paris Hilton Signs Vegas Club Residency

At the Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, otherwise known as New Jersey’s bootleg Vegas, the upcoming attractions include such parent-approved acts as The Doobie Brothers and Michael Bolton. According to a report by the New York Post, however, the soundtrack at Harrah’s is about to get a whole lot more Beatport Top Ten.
Yes, self-crowned ‘Top 5 DJ’ Paris Hilton has reportedly landed a DJ residency on home soil. According to the Post, Hilton will play four poolside shows at the Atlantic City casino in 2014, “for a deal worth what some claim is about $100K per appearance.”
After inciting keyboard warriors everywhere with her residency at Ibiza’s hallowed super club Amnesia last summer, Hilton will be back there to do it all again this year. Want an idea of the obscure gems you’re likely to hear if you make the trip to Atlantic City? Back in November, our EDM oracle gave Billboard her favorite tracks of the moment. Be surprised, be very surprised.
“I really love Nicky Romero and Avicii’s “I Could Be The One,” I just think the lyrics are really great and I love the drop, it’s a really beautiful song,” she revealed. Zedd’s “Clarity” also made the cut, as did Bingo Players’ electro-house monster “Rattle”. To cap it off with a curveball you never saw coming: “Another new song I’ve been loving this summer is “Animals” by Martin Garrix,” Hilton shared. “He’s a really young DJ, he’s very talented and upcoming, and I think that song is really dope.” Consider yourself schooled.
